Classics

We are all the same in so many ways. Its remarkable to me how my passengers remind me of either my brother, father, mother, daughter, sister or friend. This week, I had two different experiences that reminded me of my parents. I had the joy to transport an individual who loves western movies. When I told him I grew up out West he wanted to hear all about it. Instead of talking, I showed him a documentary (link below) that was made about one of the best cowboys that lives, my father “Little Bobby Mackey.” Because this Lincoln has the best sound system, I was able to Bluetooth the sound of the video to my car while my passenger watched the video. Both of us smiled for the entirety of documentary while we got to hear another tale of how the wild west once existed. The video reminded me of where I came from and how each person has a special and unique journey in life and how fortunate I am to get to hear it. After the video ended, my passenger asked if I had any more!

My car’s sound system was put to use again just a day later to help my passenger remember my name. She told me she would like to remember my name so I thought of a song from my childhood, and asked if she ever heard Amanda by Waylon Jennings. She quickly replied, “no, but play it“ (Btw - I have the coolest customers! :) At that moment I was so grateful I spent my wait time last week programming Alexa in my car, so I asked Alexa politely if she would play Amanda by Waylon Jennings and within moments the Lincoln sound system was humming with a familiar sound. My passenger remarked it was beautiful and to turn it up. When we rolled to a stop I realized the power of music and a classic song.

I hope you take time to watch & listen to these classics as you get to know more about me as your NE Missouri chauffeur! Take Care!
